Elegant on the outside, spacious on the inside: new functional and convenient refrigeration appliances from Miele

The refrigerator in the kitchen, the freezer in the cellar – that's so outdated today. Nowadays there is a lot of choice, especially with freestanding appliances that offer more freedom for planning than prescribed niches: A refrigerator, a freezer, a combination of the two and perhaps even a wine unit as well? Side-by-side solutions from Miele fulfil all wishes, “all in one” so to speak, because the new models can each individually be combined into one unit. The German family company is showing a combination with a wine unit, in the sophisticated Blackboard edition too, for the first time at Eurocucina in Milan.

Of course anyone with plenty of space can have several freestanding appliances in the kitchen. However a side-by-side combination is even better when suitable models are firmly connected and their design matched for the “big debut”. For example the “three-in-one models” that Miele has now just made possible with the new appliances: On the right a spacious refrigerator with a large “PerfectFresh Pro” fresh zone and on the left a unit consisting of a wine cabinet and a freezer. A vision in stainless steel and glass. Well stocked not only with all you need for your daily requirements, but also for your next party, especially with regard to the freezer, which features an ice cube maker (IceMaker). 

For a particularly stylish look, choose the Blackboard edition refrigerator, whose black glass surface can be written on with chalk, serving as a kind of family communication centre. Alternatively to the wine/freezer unit, the refrigerator can be combined with a Blackboard edition freezer – which gives even more space for notes, greetings or the children's art work. Or simply as a pleasure for those who have always wanted a large, black refrigerator.

Regardless of the choice of appliances, the side-by-side set-up has a width of 124 cm and an appliance height of 185 cm. So plenty of room for food, drinks and wine, but nevertheless a very sophisticated and elegant look with a high level of user convenience and functionality. Therefore, all appliances are handleless and can be opened easily by “Click2open” – the opening function located in the side of the door.                                                         

The interior of the side-by-side combination is also impressive. All appliances have an XL interior offering significantly more space and convenience. The greater useable depth in the refrigerator is also perfect for large and bulky items such as baking trays. Noise-absorbing with SilenceSystem, gentle door closing with SoftClose and bright LED lighting distinguish all side-by-side appliances from the current generation (K 20000). What's more, refrigerators are equipped with the exclusive FlexiLight, with which the light source can be individually positioned. The refrigerators and fridge-freezer combinations achieve the best possible A+++ energy efficiency rating; the combination of wine unit and freezer has an A++ rating.
