Miele is set to turn 125 in 2024 and will celebrate this anniversary with special discounts, including offerings for care and nursing homes. Further information is available at Miele's booth at Altenpflege (Age Care) 2024 (Building B5, Booth H50). Miele will be presenting a comprehensive portfolio of products, including connectivity solutions for the kitchen and on-premise laundry and a new software which is independent of machines. The Altenpflege trade show will take place in Essen between April 23 and April 25, 2024.

The Miele MOVE Clean+ software is an innovative management system, available both as a web-based application and an app, which simplifies processes in cleaning, hygiene and facility management. This system is tailored to the specific needs of the world of age care, is completely independent of Miele machines and connects management, facility managers, on-site technicians, hygienists and quality management. 14 configurable modules connect housekeeping and personnel, including for instance time recording and job rotas to representing working and on-call times, overtime and shift planning in a virtual environment. The 'Quality control' module ensures consistency in room cleaning quality levels which are monitored against pre-defined criteria. Reports can be saved to the app.

The Miele MOVE online portal, on the other hand, combines laundry and dishwashing technology with a PC, smartphone or tablet. A glance at the display suffices to check the status of all machines connected. Process data (for example, temperatures and cycle times) can be saved with Miele MOVE and, if required, exported to furnish proof, for example, that hygiene programmes were properly completed. And there's another practical feature: The simple ordering of detergents and other chemicals via a direct link to the Miele Professional online shop.

Fresh water dishwashers from the MasterLine series, for example, which take in fresh water at each stage of a programme and operate at high temperatures, can be connected. This removes soil and 99.999% of most bacteria. In addition to this, these models excel in terms of their above-average virucidal efficacy as confirmed by the Gold Seal of the Institute for integrative Hygiene and Virology, InFluenc_H. In addition to this, the model PFD 407 has been awarded the Black Seal which defines even higher standards. This model with its Vario TD programme offers thermal disinfection, otherwise only the preserve of the medical sector, removing more than 99.99% of enveloped and non-enveloped viruses (for example Corona, Influenza and the Norovirus).

Benchmark laundry machines with programmes for care and nursing homes

Catering for on-premise laundries, Miele will be presenting a comprehensive portfolio of products at the Altenpflege show, including washing machines and dryers from The New Benchmark Machines. Depending on the drum size, they offer ample space for 9 to 20 kg of textiles and are also ready for connection to the Miele MOVE portal. The user interface can be set to show all details and options or be reduced to basics – in plain text in more than 30 languages. Washing machines excel for example with over 90 wash programmes, grouped together in packages aimed at specific target audiences such as special programmes for the RKI-compliant disinfection of laundry. On the dryers, a proportion of process air is returned to the drying process, saving valuable energy.

As a birthday present to mark the company's 125th. anniversary, Miele in Germany will be offering a payback discount of up to € 1,000 on selected models from this series. All that is required is for clients to upload a copy of their invoice to a Miele website www.miele.de/pro/125-hcs.

Aimed at laundries where space is at a premium, Miele will be presenting its SlimLine series of dryers in Essen. With their intuitive controls and iron grey fronts, these machines complement the current laundry machines in terms of design and are also connectivity-enabled. With a width of only 71 cm, these machines take up a footprint of no more than 1 square metre. Depending on the heating type, they cater for loads of between 11 and 16 kg. Alongside gas and electric, heat-pump dryers are also available which use 60% less energy than their conventional electrically heated counterparts.
